Town of Pittsboro to manage trash removal in city limits

Pittsboro Town Council approved to begin the management of trash removal within city limits at their most recent town council meeting. The town will begin the weekly service with one truck, a sanitation manager, and a worker on the truck.

“We understand and heard the frustration from the residents on this matter,” said Jarod Baker, town council president. “We have been working hard on a solution and thank Town Manager Jason Love for spearheading this project and finding a favorable outcome.”

This service will be for those who reside in Pittsboro town limits as well as those who pay the town for trash services. At this time there will not be an increase in your monthly fees and hope to not increase it for the foreseeable future.
